While one platoon from the Tennessee National Guard’s 278th Armored Cavalry Regiment barreled through rough terrain and battled the cold, another platoon occupied unsuspecting trailers immersed in a simulated environment. The 278th spent the past three months training in virtual and field training environments performing both day and night reconnaissance missions to test out their new equipment.
