Maj. Bridget Wetzler, an U.S. Army logistics officer, spent her daughter's birthday across the globe at Cobra Gold 2014, with almost 400 special needs children. Wetzler’s daughter was born with Trisomy 18, a diagnosis which generally means a child may not make it to birth, let alone celebrate a first birthday, so the day was especially significant for her.
