Cobra Gold, in its 33rd iteration, demonstrates the U.S. and the Kingdom of Thailand's commitment to their long-standing alliance and regional partnership, prosperity and security in the Asia-Pacific region. The aerial insertion of over 400 combined troops belonging to the Royal Thai and U.S. Armed Forces was held in order to demonstrate forcible entry capabilities.
