Major Gen. Roger Mathews, deputy commanding general, U.S. Army Pacific (right) and Brig. Gen. Richard L. Simcock, II deputy commanding general, U. S. Marine Corps Forces, Pacific, watch as approximately 400 U.S. service members and Royal Thai Armed Forces paratroopers jump into Thailand as part of Exercise Cobra Gold 14, an annual Thai-U.S. co-sponsored joint and multinational exercise. Feb. 15. Paratroopers with U.S. Army 4th Brigade Combat Team (Airborne), 25th Infantry Division, U.S. Marine Corps and Thai counterparts traveled 19 hours directly from Alaska and jumped at 14,000 feet from five C-17 Globemaster IIIs.
