Republic of Korea Marines and U.S. Marines hike up the side of a mountain with U.S. Marines Feb. 6 during Korean Marine Exchange Program 14-3 near Pohang, Republic of Korea. The Marines participated in a 400-kilometer hike for the first time during KMEP as part of the annual cold weather training the ROK Marines train in. During the day the Marines packed lightly, carrying only food, water, and any immediate items they would need to sustain themselves during the hike. The ROK Marines are with the 1st ROK Special Reconnaissance Battalion, 1st ROK Division. The Marines in the photo are with Company A, 3rd Reconnaissance Battalion, 3rd Marine Division, III Marine Expeditionary Force.
