Recruits of November Company, 4th Recruit Training Battalion, wait to enter the gas chamber Jan. 21, 2014, on Parris Island, S.C. Recruits would be exposed to tear gas, a training agent used to mimic the stresses of a chemically contaminated environment. Recruits had to properly put on the mask, clear it of fumes and reseal it to successfully complete the training, demonstrating they know the proper procedures despite the irritating tear gas. November Company is scheduled to graduate March 14, 2014. (Photo by Cpl. Octavia Davis)
