U.S. Army Spc. Clorinda Placencia, a military police officer with 4th Brigade Special Troops Battalion, from San Bernardino, Calif., accepts the congratulations of Col. Mario Diaz, commander, 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division, Task Force Patriot, for being named the 1st Quarter, 2014, Brigade Soldier of the Quarter Jan. 24 at Forward Operating Base Fenty. Placencia, the only female competing for the title, went up against soldiers from across the brigade in a two day, multi-event contest that tested the troops’ marksmanship, fitness, competence, and ability in several different scenarios.
