U.S. Air Force Capt. Lauren Hoyt and 1st Lt. Mark Benischeck, 816th Expeditionary Airlift Squadron pilots, fly a C-17 Globemaster III over southern Afghanistan, Jan. 25, 2014. The crew landed at Kandahar Air Field to airlift Mine Resistant Ambush Protected vehicles out of Afghanistan as part of Operation Enduring Freedom retrograde operations. Equipment is airlifted to regional logistics hubs where it is then sent by sealift to its final location.
