Capt. Paul Ormond, chaplain with the 518th Sustainment Brigade, goes over coping techniques in his resiliency course during the Yellow Ribbon Reintegration event in New Orleans Jan 11. Ormond emphasized that his biggest takeaway from the class was that soldiers needed to learn to 'bend' in order to keep themselves from breaking and encouraged soldiers to find ways to change their negative thoughts in order to change the outcome of any given situation.
