Sgt. Thomas Dacey is congratulated by Lt. Col. James Koeppen, commander of the 2nd Engineer Battalion. Dacey was shot in a battle July 4, 2013, but survived when his armor absorbed the bullet. Dacey was later presented with the armor plate.
