Recruits of Fox Company, 2nd Recruit Training Battalion, count utility uniforms at the depot laundry facility Oct. 18, 2013, during their eighth week of training, known as Team Week, on Parris Island, S.C. Team Week provides time for recruits to work on their teamwork skills as well as provides a respite from the previous seven weeks of training. Fox Company is scheduled to graduate Nov. 15, 2013. Parris Island has been the site of Marine Corps recruit training since Nov. 1, 1915. Today, approximately 20,000 recruits come to Parris Island annually for the chance to become United States Marines by enduring 13 weeks of rigorous, transformative training.
