Gen. David Petraeus, the commanding general of Multi-National Forces – Iraq, presents awards and commander's coins to Soldiers assigned to 4th Brigade Combat Team, 10th Mountain Division (Light) during a visit to Forward Operating Base Shield in eastern Baghdad, Iraq, Sept. 10, 2008. The Patriot Brigade Soldiers were presented awards, such as Combat Infantryman Badges, while Petraeus recognized other Soldiers and their efforts with commanding general coins. His visit to FOB shield was part of his final battlefield circulation as MNF-I commanding general as he prepares for his new assignment as the commanding general of U.S. Central Command.
