U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Jordan Torcello, an explosive ordnance team leader assigned to Explosive Ordnance Detachment, 13th Marine Expeditionary Unit, teaches Marines from Charlie Company, 13th MEU, the properties of a directional fragmentation charge during counter improvised explosive device (IED) training at Camp Lemonnier, Djibouti Jan. 10, 2014. Approximately 50 Marines assigned to Charlie Company, 13th MEU completed counter IED training, which covered a wide variety of techniques to defeat enemy IEDs. The 13th MEU is deployed with the Boxer Amphibious Ready Group as a theater reserve and crisis response force throughout the U.S. 5th Fleet area of responsibility.
