Army Lt. Col. Sarah Dicks, North Carolina National Guard Recruiting and Retention Battalion commander, gave a speech at the 2013 North Carolina School Counselor Association Fall Conference at the Sheraton Koury Convention Center in Greensboro, N.C. The annual conference helps discuss issues and new initiatives that directly affect public school counselors all over the state. The NCNG’s Recruiting and Retention Battalion looked at conference as an opportunity to foster strong bonds between the Guard and guidance counselors in order for recruiters to enter schools and enlighten students about what opportunities the Guard has to offer.
