Ed Middleton, a 30th Infantry Division (now the 30th Armored Brigade Combat Team) veteran of World War II, holds a scrapbook collection of more than 60 postcards mailed to him from across the globe. The cards were sent to thank Middleton for his service, and the album was presented to him during a brief surprise ceremony in his honor at the North Carolina Veterans Park in Fayetteville, N.C., Jan. 11, 2014.
