Dr. Raphael Perl, director of the Partnership for Peace Consortium of Defense Academies and Security Institutes, addresses the Senior Advisory Council and Consortium Steering Committee of PfPC during an annual joint meeting of the council and committee Jan. 7. Perl was one of about 40 people, including international defense academy commandants, officials from ministries of defense and others. The two-event focused on updated from PfPC's nine working groups. The group also discussed further curriculum development and the creation of a cyber security group. Attendees came from Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. The PfPC Operations Staff is co-located with the joint US-German George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The PfPC is a voluntary association of institutes of higher learning and defense and security affairs linking more than 800 defense academies and security studies institutes in 59 countries.
