    Members of the Senior Advisory Council and Consortium Steering Committee of the Partnership for Peace Consortium listen to retired Lt. Gen. Keith W. Dayton, council chairman and director of the joint US-German George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies give remarks during an annual meeting Jan. 7. Dayton addressed the group of about 40 people, including international defense academy commandants, officials from ministries of defense and others. The two-day event focused on updates from PfPC's nine working groups. The group also discussed further curriculum development and the creation of a cyber security group. Attendees came from Austria, Bulgaria, Canada, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Poland, Romania, Sweden, Switzerland, and the United States. The PfPC Operations Staff is co-located with the Marshall Center in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Germany. The PfPC is a voluntary association of institutes of higher learning and defense and security affairs linking more than 800 defense academies and security studies institutes in 59 countries.
