The Army & Air Force Exchange Service’s Command Engineer, Col. Fabian Mendoza Jr. (Center), helps kick things off at the 2013 Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl by assisting in the pregame coin toss. The U.S. Naval Academy Midshipmen won both the coin toss and the game as they went on to beat the Middle Tennessee State University Blue Raiders, 24-6 on Dec. 30 at Texas Christian University’s Amon G. Carter Stadium. The Bell Helicopter Armed Forces Bowl is an annual Fort Worth-based college football bowl game recognizing all five branches of the military.
