Casey Weed sews a pocket to a 14th century-style three lobe pouch at Carl Levin Park in Harker Heights, Texas, Aug. 31. Weed attended a quarterly luncheon held by Stronghold of Hellsgate, a Society for Creative Anachronism organization. The stronghold has weekly and monthly events in which members practice several 600-1600 A.D. disciplines such as rapier and chivalric fighting, chainmail making, dancing, singing and embroidery.
