    The amphibious dock landing ship USS Carter Hall transits the Atlantic Ocean in formation with the multi-purpose amphibious assault ship USS Iwo Jima, left, and the guided-missile cruiser USS Vella Gulf. Carter Hall, Iwo Jima and Vella Gulf are deployed as part of the Iwo Jima Expeditionary Strike Strike Group, which is supporting maritime security operations in the U.S. Navy's 5th and 6th Fleet areas of responsibility.
