Ensign Brandon Boyles, from Charleston, S. C., receives a first salute from his drill instructor, Gunnery Sgt. Sandra Center. Boyles was one of more than 40 officer candidates to graduate from Officer Candidate School. Chief of Naval Personnel, Vice Adm. Mark E. Ferguson III, was the reviewing officer and keynote speaker at the ceremony. He was also a speaker and participant at a ribbon cutting rededication ceremony for the main training facility of OCS, Callaghan Hall. The $9.2 million two-year renovation project of the 30-year-old building will now be a state-of-the-art facility for training present and future Navy officers.
