Master-at-Arms 2nd Class Lisa Square, assigned to Naval Base Kitsap, places a wreath upon a veterans grave during a National Wreaths Across America Day ceremony at Ivy Green Cemetery. Wreaths Across America is a national nonprofit organization founded in 2007 to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony started in 1992 at Arlington National Cemetery by Morrill Worcester, who donated the first 5,000 wreaths. The organization now includes more than 1,000 local fundraising groups in all 50 states representing more than 800 cemeteries, military memorials and at national veterans cemeteries on foreign soil.
