Marines with Recruit Training Regiment, Marine Corps Recruit Depot Parris Island, receive a folded flag and the unclaimed remains of one of 10 honorably discharged service members as part of the Missing in America Project at Beaufort National Cemetery in Beaufort, S.C., Dec. 13. Missing in America Project is a nation-wide effort to locate, identify and bury unclaimed remains of forgotten veterans. The military funeral is a demonstration of respect to show the nation's deep gratitude to those who, in times of war and peace, faithfully defended our country.
