Christopher Santiago, Nov. 17, 2012. An estimated 150 volunteers from the community, including members of the Coast Guard, spent two days constructing a specially adapted home for Santiago, who lost both of his legs and severely injured his left arm when he stepped on an improvised explosive device while deployed to Iraq in 2006.
