Coast Guard Auxiliary Safety classes at the Nome Beltz Junior and Senior High School
NOME, Alaska - Students at the Nome Beltz Junior and Senior High School participate in an ice rescue technique demonstration during a water and ice safety demonstration given there May 3, 2012. Students were taught to lay across the ice while holding onto one another while creating a safety chain in an effort to reach someone who had fallen through thin ice and into Alaska-s Arctic waters.
