ROCHESTER, N.Y. - Coast Guardsmen aboard a 47-foot Motor Life Boat from Station Rochester took advantage of the gale-force winds and high waves, which were up to 14 feet, by conducting heavy-weather training in the Genesee River April 23, 2012. The training is vital for Coast Guardmen to maintain boatcrew certifications and to be prepared to respond to emergencies in similar conditions.
