1st Lt. Kari Bagwell, 386th Expeditionary Medical Group, assesses the condition of a patient recently admitted to the 386th Contingency Aeromedical Staging Facility. Nurses at the CASF make assessments on patients entering and leaving the facility, to record patient pain levels and to ensure they are on the correct medications.The CASF is a medical facility that provides personnel and equipment for the aeromedical evacuation of ill and wounded U.S. and coalition force members. Lieutenant Bagwell is deployed from Wright-Patterson Air Force Base, Ohio.
