CAPE MAY, N.J. - Petty Officer 2nd Class Fred Chase, 26, of Old Orchard Beach, Maine, accepts the award for Coast Guard Training Center Cape May's Enlisted Person of the Year for 2011. Chase was recognized for numerous accomplishments in 2011 including a deployment to Gambia with the U.S. International Training Division, helping to evacuate 400 Coast Guard recruits during Hurricane Irene, and volunteering with the Navy Reserve Junior Officer Corps and Partnership in Education.
