GALVESTON, Texas - Seaman Aaron Sunstrom and Petty Officer 2nd Class Josh Wood from Coast Guard Aids to navigation Team Galveston maneuver a light buoy that had washed up on shore here Thursday, June 28, 2007. Aids to Navigation Team Galveston is responsible for maintaining, repairing and replacing lights, buoys and dayboards along the entire Houston Ship Channel, maintaining a visual guide for ships to follow through safe water in to or away from port.
