PORTSMOUTH, Va. (June 22, 2005)--BM1 Chris Cone from the cutter Frank Drew direct the ship's crane to lower a buoy into position in the Elizabeth River in Portsmouth, Va., after the crew replaced its sloar panel. The Frank Drew's aides to navigation mission is very important to the local economy. They keep the 2,500 commercial ships the call to the Port of Hampton Roads safely transiting the area waters, so the ships can deliver their average of over 16 milion tons fo cargo to the port. There was also over 26 million tons of coal exported from facilities in the port. USCG photo by PA2 Donnie Brzuska
