ARABIAN GULF (Feb. 10, 2004)-- MK3 Zachary Coone, 20, from Winston-Salem, N.C., stays alert while on a patrol around an Iraqi oil terminal in the Rigid Hull Inflatable Boat from the USCGC Aquidneck. The Coast Guard has deployed four 110-foot patrol boats to the region to support U.S. Navy 5th Fleet and coalition forces during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Maritime Interception Operations to stop illegal oil smuggling and to search for terrorists.
