U.S. Army Gen. Bantz J. Craddock, Commander United States European Command, speaks to a Georgian soldiers who, working hand in hand with U.S. Soldiers are assisting the delivery of humanitarian assistance supplies to the people of the Republic of Georgia. At the request of the government of Georgia, the United States is providing humanitarian assistance to the people of Georgia. The HA efforts are being coordinated by the U.S. Department of State and U.S. AID with assistance, as required, being provided by the Department of Defense following the conflict between Russian and Georgian forces.
