HILLSBORO BEACH, Fla. -- Standing on the steps of a United States lighthouse established in 1906, Capt. Scott A. Buschman, Seventh Coast Guard District chief of staff, offers comments during Hillsboro Lighthouse Day March 12, 2011, in Hillsboro Beach. The day's events included tours of the lighthouse and an unveiling of the newest AT&T The Real Yellow Pages phonebook cover for the Florida cities of Pompano Beach and Coral Springs, which contains an image of the Hillsboro lighthouse and inlet. The event was arranged by the Hillsboro Lighthouse Preservation Society, which was founded in 1997 to preserve the location in its original form for the safety, enjoyment, and education of the public.
