SAN FRANCISCO - Jessica Woods, wife of Coast Guard Cutter Aspen crewmember Chief Petty Officer Scott Woods, welcomes the Aspen and its crew home following a five and a half month deployment Friday, Nov. 12, 2010. The Aspen, a buoy tender homeported at Yerba Buena Island, returned from the Gulf of Mexico in support of Deepwater Horizon Response. The Aspen and its crew conducted oil skimming activities and directed operations between the Mississippi Delta and Panama City, Fla., collecting 137,800 gallons of oily water mixture during the response.
