SAN PEDRO, Calif. - Members of Coast Guard Maritime Safety and Security Team Los Angeles-Long Beach conducted a vertical insertion exercise from a Los Angeles Sheriff's Department helicopter, July 14, 2010. The exercise was to cerify a Coast Guard team to fast rope from a sheriff's department helicopter, the first time certification has been attempted on a non-military aircraft.
