Mobile, Ala. - Coast Guard Lt. Joseph Schmidt, a vessel decontamination supervisor at Incident Command Post Mobile, talks to operators in Biloxi, Miss., who supervise the cleaning of vessels of opportunity here July 13, 2010. Vessels of opportunity are boats of all types that are responding to the Deepwater Horizon Oil spill to protect sensitive shorelines and skim up oil from the surface of the ocean. When these boats come to shore, they need to be checked out by decontamination experts to make sure any oil on the hull is not posing a threat to the environment. The Deepwater Horizon response is the largest oil spill response in American history. U.S. Coast Guard photo by Petty Officer 1st Class Zach Zubricki.
