PORT-AU-PRINCE, Haiti - Petty Officer 3rd Class Tison Velez and Petty Officer 2nd Class Hector Rios secure the "engine one" compartment after replacing a malfunctioning starter on the HC-130 Hercules aircraft from Coast Guard Air Station Clearwater, Fla., during evacuations of U.S. personnel in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. With the Coast Guard rescue plane full of 80 evacuees, including injured persons, when the engine starter broke, the aviation maintenance technicians were able to replace the starter within 20 minutes, enabling a safe evacuation of all persons to Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.
