KEY WEST, Fla. - Deputy Director of the Coast Guard Civil Rights Directorate, Capt. Ekundayo Faux, presented Lt. Matthew Moyer, commanding officer of the Coast Guard Cutter Knight Island Port crew the Partnership in Education award Nov. 13, 2009. During the past year, the Knight Island crew volunteered more than 960 hours mentoring students in academics, special projects and assisting the overburdened teaching staff at Key West's Poinciana Elementary School.
