HONOLULU -- The endangered Hawaiian Monk Seal, KP2, waves goodbye to U.S. Coast Guard crewmembers from Air Station Barbers Point after being transferred from the island of Molokai to the island of Oahu, Friday, Oct. 16, 2009.
The seal was captured on Molokai by scientists and flown in a Coast Guard C-130 long-range search plane to Oahu, where the seal will be held for observation.
