ARCTIC OCEAN - The Canadian Coast Guard Ship Louis S. St-Laurent follows a path in the ice that was cut by the Coast Guard Cutter Healy Aug. 24, 2009.

The two ships special capabilities are being used to help scientists locate the outer edge of the North American extended continental shelf.
