HOUSTON - In this photo by the U.S. Coast Guard, the crew of the Claxton from G&H Towing was honored by Capt. William Diehl, commanding officer of Coast Guard Sector Houston- Galveston, with the Coast Guard Distinguished Public Service Award, May 19, 2009.

The crew of the Claxton was acknowledged for their heroic actions the morning of September 13, 2008. The crew prevented an allision between a freight ship and the Interstate Highway 610 Bridge at the height of Hurricane Ike.
