SAN DIEGO - The Coast Guard Cutter Haddock towed the sailing vessel Sea Hag into San Diego Harbor April 6 after an extensive search conducted by the Coast Guard over the weekend. Sean Haggerty, the owner and operator of the vessel, had been sailing for a number of weeks and when he did not arrive in San Diego when expected, his family members contacted the Coast Guard. Air Stations Sacramento, Los Angeles and San Diego all contributed to the search. A C-130 aircraft from Air Station Sacramento located the vessel Sunday night. The Haddock was only 20 miles away, diverted to the location and brought the vessel and captain safely into port. Coast Guard photo by PA1 Allyson E.T. Conroy.
