    SAN FRANCISCO (Sept. 9, 2008) - Vice Admiral David Pekoske, Commander U.S. Coast Guard Pacific Area, right, and Major-General Chen Weiming, head of the Border Control Department of the Peoples Republic of China, shake hands following a bi-lateral meeting between the representatives of the two countries at the North Pacific Coast Guard Forum held here. The forum includes the heads of the Japanese, Chinese, Russian, South Korean and U.S. Coast Guard's or equivalent, as well as other representatives from those agencies. The involved parties discussed working relationships in the areas of maritime search and rescue, law enforcement, illegal fishing, and other areas of interest.
