    U.S. Airman Test Drinking Water

U.S. Air Force 155th Medical Detachment Preventive Maintenance NCOIC, Master Sgt. Corey Gatewood, a native of Forest City, Ark., tests the drinking water for safety at Camp Taji, Iraq on Aug. 05, 2008. Master Sgt Gatewood tests the ph and chlorine levels as well as bacteria intake of the water. Along with testing water, the preventive maintenance section is responsible for food inspections, soil and air samples, and vector sampling which require the capture of mosquitoes and sand flies. The insects are sent back to the United States for testing and evaluation to see if they carry any viruses or diseases.
