A Dolphin helicopter approaches the flight deck of a cutter at sea as the landing signal officer (LSO) directs him in. Though normally stationed ashore, the Dolphins can be carried on board medium and high endurance Coast Guard Cutters. They assist in the missions of Search and Rescue, Drug Interdiction enforcement, Polar Ice Breaking, Marine Environmental Protection and Military Readiness.
