Washington (Nov. 13, 2007) - Ms. Giao L. Phan is sworn in as the Coast Guard Deputy Director of Aquisition Programs by Vice Adm. Vivien S. Crea during a ceremony at Coast Guard Headquarters. Ms. Phan will report to Rear Adm. Ronald J. Rabago, Director of Acquisition Programs and Program Executive Officer of the Integrated Deepwater Program. The newly-created position will position both a flag officer and a senior executive service official to lead the Coast Guard's major acquisition of cutters, aircraft, small boats and C4ISR. The Coast Guard Acquisition Directorate also funds major refurbishment and upgrades of legacy cutters, aircraft and equipment.
