MIAMI - Rear Adm. David Kunkel, commander of the Seventh Coast Guard District speaks to the media about the re-establishment of the Coastal Warning Display program at Air Station Miami May 30, 2007. The Coast Guard will initiate the program June 1. This will help re-enforce the Coast Guard's role as lifesavers, reaffirm to local communities the Coast Guard's role as experts concerning local boating matters and visually communicate to the American public the lesson of Hurrucane Katrina to take personal responsibility for individual safety in the face of an approaching storm.
