KODIAK, Alaska (Jan. 16, 2006) Coast Guard Chief Petty Officer Daniel Burke jumps off of a buoy near Spruce Cape here. Burke was one of two crewmen from the Coast Guard cutter Sycamore who jumped onto the buoy in an attempt to repair the extinguished lamp. Burke had to put a temporary battery pack onto the buoy until a Coast Guard cutter crew can service the buoy. USCG photo by Petty Officer Paul Roszkowski.
