PORTLAND, Me. (Aug. 2, 2005) A Coast Guard crewman from the cutter Sanibel gives an affirming "thumbs up" to a another crewman above as a rigid hull inflatable boat (RHIB) is skillfully lowered into Portland Harbor. The small boat is vital to the missions of the much larger cutter as it enables the crew to navigate through smaller, tighter waterways. Additionally, the RHIB allows boarding team members fast and easy access to the sides of other vessels. USCG photo by Petty Officer Third Class Luke Pinneo
