Second Battalion, 22nd Infantry Regiment Soldiers receive a convoy brief prior to heading out to conduct a reconnaissance patrol. Kirkuk city-based, Company Delta, 2-22 Inf. Regt., Soldiers moved approximately 30 miles southwest to join forces with the 1st Battalion, 87th Infantry Regiment during Operation Summit Pursuit, July 27 - August 5, 2008. Both are assigned to the 1st Brigade, 10th Mountain Division whose area of operation includes the Kirkuk province and portions of the Salah ad-Din province on the west side of the Tigris River from Sadarah down to Sabah.
